So my D got a letter from Fordham today saying they wanted additional information on the FAFSA form. Am I being too hopeful that maybe that is a good sign for admittance? Why would they bother to get the information if she were going to be denied? Crossing our fingers.

We got one of those a couple of weeks ago. I think it means they are actually crunching numbers, so probably good.

Generally that is a good sign. But no guarantees in life and college admissions!

Submit the information ASAP.

Thanks for the responses. Ugh as if we weren’t anxious enough, this is fueling the fire.
We don’t qualify for need based aid, only filled it out for possible merit, does that make any difference? It did say on the letter to send it in asap (mailed, not faxed) and that it would be to our advantage to do so promptly.

We had a similar call two weeks ago and received our acceptance a 10 days later I think. I believe it is a good sign.

@notakid and kcdunlap - May I ask you what information they were looking for from you? Ours said there was a part of the form not filled out and needs to be completed. My H did it and he won’t be back until tomorrow, so not sure how he missed a part lol. Anyway, I wonder if this really means nothing at all since they are not looking for additional info. just a complete form.

There were 2 things they wanted. One was the Farm/Business form. The other was a short form of theirs that I believe asked about home equity, original price, when bought. It had a couple of other things. Don’t think it had anything that wasn’t on CSS PROFILE, though they presented it as filling a gap.

They had found an error on my FASFA. I put the wrong number in for the number of people in college next year…I put the household size instead of the actual number in college. I had to fix it.
