Is it better to fill out the nomination packet online? I already got all the recommendations, and transcripts and stuff. But I haven't filled out the application yet or the essay part. It says typing is preferred, but how do we type it out? Do we use a scanner or something? Or just answer them on a microsoft document and staple them with the application?

usually they are editable pdf documents (that you cannot save information on) so you should just print out the whole application and when you are done, type it into the pdf document, then print that out and mail it to them.

Everything submitted for your nomination should either be typed or word processed. Do NOT submit anything that is handwritten; it will definitely put you at a disadvantage. First impressions do count.

thanks. Yeah I just realized that you can type it on the adobe pdf document. That's REALLY KOOL! I'm going to be sending my next week! I'm excited! Oh and I am going ot be taking SAT on October again. But should I write the scores that I have so far, or leave it blank and put still pending for the upcoming score that I will get from October test?

Every nomination source will have different requirements.

Our Congressman (and a few others, I suspect) wants your nomination essay to be hand-written.

You can update your SAT scores when you get your new results (they should be sent directly from the College Board). I would not submit an incomplete form to your MOC.

so just write down the current score, and they would update it when they receive the new one right?
