Questions regarding NYU

Hey guys, I just have a couple of specific questions regarding NYU admissions that I was hoping you could help me out with:

1.) If I don't get accepted into NYU's New York Campus, will they consider me for the other campus'? Or does it depend on what I put in my application/supplement?

2.) How highly weighed is the SAT during the admissions process at NYU? My SAT holds me back because I only have a 1730, but my GPA is a 3.7 unweighted, with over 12 extra curricular's, class rank of 57/507 (11%), New York State EMT, and a bunch of college credits from college courses. So, would all these other factors make them forget about my SAT a little, or are they very cut and dry with it, requiring for a specific score?

3.) Does applying regular as opposed to ED I/II lessen my chance of admission?

Thank you so much! I'll appreciate any answers you guys can provide :)

You can indicate on your common app which campuses you would like to be considered for. For example, you only put NY, they will only consider you for the NY campus. As for your SAT question, I don’t have an answer for that, though I know applying RD as opposed to ED does not lessen your chance of admission.

Hi, I was in the same situation. My counselor suggested that I send my IB/AP scores instead of my SAT. NYU is very flexible in regards to test policy so you should look into that.

I got accepted with a 3.5 UW GPA and a 1720 SAT. I think what let me in was my essays, my letters, and I contacted them various times because I saw some errors on Albert. lol

If I got in, ANYTHING can happen. I just hope for the best for you! :)

if you dont get into the program you hope to get into, they may see you better fit for a different program and accept you there.
