Can I bring my transcript instead of my report card? I don’t have any copies of my report card in my house.

Since they say no photocopies, does that mean I can just bring the physical ID?

Thanks.

Ummmm...Why do they need to see a grade card? If you have a passport, that's good ID. And yes, you must take the physical ID. I've never heard of a DMV needing to see a grade card, though I suppose that could be different in other states. The insurance company needed to see it for the good student discount, but not the DMV. Check with the rules again.

My passport is expired, so I can't use that. One of the available options is to bring a report card with ID, along with other things.

If you have to use a grade card, go to the school and get a copy. I don't know that they'd accept a transcript, though in theory, they should. You can always try it. Most DMV workers wouldn't know the difference between the two.

If you have your birth certificate and social security card, those are also good forms of ID. I would be skeptical of grade cards.

Yup, but New York has a stupid "point system" which applicants must meet before taking a driving test.

I was going to try using the transcript, but it's a copy too and I would hate to wait in line just to get sent back. I guess I'll head to school tomorrow first.

Oh and wait till you get there and they say no to perfectly good documents or points.
