I had recieved a D in a class my first semester in college and Im currently retaking the class right now. My question is does my uc gpa included the average of the two classes or just the new grade. According to my college they forgive us on the old grade and only take the new grade when doing the gpa but the previous grade will remain on the transcript. if someone could shed some light on this topic id apreciate it. Thanks.

You have to fill out your colleges "course repeated" form and turn it in after you take the second class. Then it wont reflect on your CC GPA and the UC will forgive the first grade.

I had 7 F
s repeated them all for A
s and got into UCSD, UCLA and Cal, so dont worry about it to much.

damn fitzgerk, thats amazing. props.

At some CCs (well, mine), the process was automatic. I simply retook the class I got a D in, and the A replaced the D on my next transcript. Just double check just in case.

dang, cardinal which cc did u go to?

College of the Canyons in the house!!! haha.

woah thats awesome my gpa should raise dramatically then.! thanks for the info guys.

Yup you should be fine...haha, after rereading your post, I realized I did the same exact thing. I got a D in my first college class as well and I thought that would screw me over for the UCs.

damn, you've just raised my hope.
