I think that you have a good chance, it would be even better if your ACT score was a little higher. But your GPA is fantastic. I would consider them low to mid reach schools. Good luck!

Is the GPA weighted or unweighted? Both schools are very hard to get into from OOS, especially UNC (because a much smaller portion of their class is from OOS).

Do you wish to play, and are you capable of playing, ACC-level lacrosse (clearly the best Division I intercollegiate conference in America)? If so, and if either coach wanted to recruit you, with or without a partial scholarship, you’d be essentially guaranteed admission at both UNC-CH and UVa.

UNC is incredibly difficult to get into from OOS. I don’t know about UVA or NYU. I do hope that you have applied to an in state safety that also serves as a financial safety. And / or schools that meet financial need. In another post you noted “not to take cost of attendance into consideration” I assume this was hypothetical. But at this late stage in the process, I hope that you are considering the staggering cost of attending an OOS school.

Thank you, and yes it is hypothetical. I am in at MSU, OSU, and other affordable schools. Does anybody know of any other affordable schools that would be a good academic match for me?
