sounds like to me that the social life and proximity to everything makes unit 3 my pick.

haven’t heard a lot of complimenting of all the other houses.

sounds like to me that the social life and proximity to everything makes unit 3 my pick.

haven’t heard a lot of complimenting of all the other houses.

Yeah, I’m deciding between Unit 1 and Unit 3, and maybe, just maybe CLark Kerr. I still have to look into it before I make my decision

I dunno, all the Units seem nice, they’re getting the best reviews so far, but if not Unit 3, Unit 2 is almost as good, seeing as it’s close to a pool and moderately close to all the Unit 3 goodies.

Fiesta, I think you mean unit 1, not unit 2. Unit 2 is a bit further (1 block from unit 1).

But yeah, definitely unit 3 for convenience.

Unit 2 is just way too far from campus. Clark Kerr is slightly farther, but at least it has big rooms

So if Clark Kerr isn’t a good choice, how does the Foothill compare to the Units? All engineers? Not social?

Unit 2 is newer than Unit 1/3.

Foothill does have a lot of engineers. Foothill/Stern are much quieter than the units.

Unit 2 isn’t newer, it was probably just renovated later than Unit 1 was.

thereby giving a newer feeling though.

it’s renovated outside. inside feels the same.

well im a pre med student and im gona major in MCB is unit 3 the best for me? and should i go for double or triple/ minisuites is the price difference really that big enough to save? thanks for any response

^^ My premed roommate lived in Foothill, because he wanted it quiet and wanted to study.

i dont think anyone answered this question - is it possible to get a mini suite in units 1/2 or do they normally get filled up by upperclassmen?

upperclassmen have priority, so it’s possible, but probably unlikely.

I wouldn’t recommend the mini suites for a freshmen.

Positives:
Nice, spacious room

Negatives:
Expensive
Difficult to get for a freshman
Not many freshmen live there, so it would be harder to make friends
A lot less social than the Units

I have friends (freshmen) in mini suites, and they would probably back me up on these points. But if you really think the mini suites would suit you well, it doesn’t hurt to apply.

meh, i want a double in unit 3 or 1, but definitely not a triple, and you have to apply for 4 different choices, right?

so what else am I to choose from?

so you are saying that regular dorms in the units are more social than mini suites in the units? what about foothill/clark kerr dorms?
how is the bathroom situation in the units?

Is the social environment at Foothill as bad as people say it is?

^ It is bad, but it depends on how you make it. If you live in an 4- or 8-room suite or one of the theme programs, it is better.

as much as i like the space in the 4 room suite at foothill, i kinda dislike the people on my floor now. lol
