Rate the dorms Berkeley students!

Oh damn no haha, but after a while you forget about the other building and change straight up nude with the curtains open. Good thing that a lot of stuff goes under the radar and nobody cares like people drinking out of giant Smirnoff bottles and smoking weed outside the window lol.

At first I thought it was weird that people had sex in the showers, but after all the showers have been “used” many times you really don’t care…its all part of college =)

If you’re really annoyed about sex, get a bunch of people who are just as annoyed, stand outside the shower next time and start making fapping noises along with phone camera shutters going off. That’ll do the trick. It might be grounds for kicking you all out though. hahaha

Tbh, I don’t care who’s having sex, but I just wish that girl would have the common decency not to do it in the middle of the afternoon. Half a dozen other people went in and out of the room. Oh, and especially not after another floormate just complained about finding a pile of poop in the tub. I feel like I might pick up a handful of strange diseases if I did the dirty in the dorm showers. Dwinelle or Soda on the other hand, though…

And yeah, my sense of public decency doesn’t exist anymore. I have probably pranced around my room singing in my underwear more times than I can remember. Hai neighbors.

So now I’m leaning more towards unit 3, but is it really that wild? I mean, I want to be in a social athmosphere, but I also want some quiet time to study and sleep. Am I looking in the wrong place? Also, can someone compare Unit two and Unit three based on personal or secondhand experience?

There isn’t really a constant. The units, in general, will be louder than say…Foothill. Whether there is much of a difference between Units 1, 2 and 3 depends on the year and the people. It’s hard to say. And even within my building, some floors are dead quiet.

Does the fact that Unit 2 looks nicer than Unit three have any weight at all? Should one base their decision on this factor? Because if Unit three is truly disgusting, then I don’t want to go there.

Unit 3 is closer to campus. I think that’s more important than aesthetics.

Distance to Campus

Bowles/Stern/Foothill are closest
Unit 1 and 3 are next closest
Unit 2 and CKC are farthest.

IMO Unit 2 is the worst of the dorms, because it is pretty much just as far from campus as CKC and its rooms (just like all unit dorms) are small.

Okay, great. Thanks for all your help!

Where does Unit 3 eat? Cafe 3? 'Cause they don’t have a breakfast, I think.

Eh, I never got breakfast from the DCs. Just keep cereal and milk on hand if you want to eat at the dorms.

yeah, that’s pretty much what I do now.

Ehh, maybe it’s not such a good idea to get a nice breakfast (like a fat bagel) everyday.

but are minifridges and microwaves not allowed in your dorm room? If they aren’t, I could just keep a bowl and spoon in my room and heat me some milk and eat there before heading off.

Minifridges and microwaves are definitely allowed. I have both. :3
I know we’re meant to get them from Berkeley, but my roomie and I just brought our own.

they want you to buy that stuff from them?

is it like for some inflated price to make more money?

I’m not too sure. We bought them without knowing about the ones Berkeley provides.

I think you only “rent” them from the company and don’t actually own it, but I may be wrong.

that’s just bull. I’ll bring my own.

Can anyone tell me which of the dorms has the most asians? And which has the least? I’m asian and I feel more comfortable around asians…

^ are we promoting racial segregation here? ;)

Can anyone tell me which of the dorms has the most asians? And which has the least? I’m asian and I feel more comfortable around asians…

I don’t think there’s much of a difference…
