Rd- 2013

Probably nothing until tomorrow or Monday if the went in mail yesterday.

Mail comes in the morning. Our zip code is only 5 away from Geneseo’s. Hopefully you will all receive yours tomorrow! Thanks for the good wishes :D

My son got his acceptance letter today. We live about 45 minutes away, but we have really late mail delivery. Apparently this was the most competitive year in the college’s history. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

My son received his acceptance today. We live in Ithaca, NY. They claim there were 10,000 applicants for 995 spots. They do not say how many offers they made to seek to fill those spots. Probably between 4,000 and 5,000.

Wow! I am gagging because I set the parent statement form aside and forgot about it! Friend of my son got letter today- lives in Rochester- my son applied and nothing in the box today ! Wow am I a bundle of nerves tonight!!

I have a question for All of you people who got your letters- can you tell me the first initial of your last name? We are the end of the alphabet and got nothing today. ? I need a theory or I won’t sleep!!! (we are in letter S-Z)

Feismom - our last name starts with B.

Friend of son last name begins with C - anyone else?

Hello all … My daughter got accepted today … we are early in the alphabet and live in Rochester. Still waiting to hear from a few ivys. good luck to all.

well. for what it’s worth, last name starting with a “D” in Brooklyn NY has no news yet

Letter K - still waiting for ND, Cornell, BC and Loyola MD. In at Geneseo, Pitt, Fordham, The U (Miami) and Tulane.

Letter P…nothing yet…Long Island…

@Dadtoson do u think they would make that many offers…I wonder what the percentage is.

I did a quick read on their admit stats GC- last year they had 8000+ applicants, accepted half and put another 1400 on wait list- they only yield a class of just under 1000- they make it seem very competitive (which it is) but they are a safety school for many so they don’t yield the majority of the students who they accept. BTW-even if you don’t get in as a first sem freshman - it is a snap to get in as a transfer- with decent grades from another college- I am a guid counselor I saw a former student(dumb as a rock) transfer there after a year or so at a comm college- this student could not pass the math regents exam (the first one!) and was there going to school.

For once our mail came early (it’s usually late afternoon) today and nothing. End of alphabet. NYC area.

Oh no @mosama prob Monday then. I dont get the mail until late. I wont be back home until about 3PM…Unless my daughter raids the mailbox. Its funny to think of Geneseo as a safety. For many Im sure it is.

Waiting for mail delivery in NYC suburbs - we get late delivery. I’ll let you know if we receive.

Nothing in Florida…if any out of state applicants get their decision please let me know!

There was a big envelope in my mailbox this morning! Very exciting!

Big Envelope- postmarked March 1 Rochester area- received today - Son in at Geneseo- end of alphabet! Good Luck to everyone!
