Also and more importantly
The common app suggest 11 and 12 grade teachers. IF I pick one teacher who I had for 11th and now for 12th-a history teacher, will it be alright if I pick a science teacher who I just started to know this year (12) or would you suggest I pick a science/math teacher I had last year?

yes teachers can use the common app form for paper submissions. Although schools definitely prefer an official envelope, if your school does not have official envelopes, the teacher can confirm the authenticity of the rec by signing across the sealed flap (and a duplicate signature will appear inside in the same ink). Choose the teachers who will give you the best recommendation. Year they taught you is far less important than the content of their letter. A teacher from just this year is fine if they will write a strong recommendation.
