Recieved Uc Berkeley Merit Scholarship invitation

Does this mean anything???

Dear UC Berkeley Applicant,

The Cal Alumni Association invites you to apply for our undergraduate scholarship, The Leadership Award.

Funded through the generosity of Cal alumni and supporters, The Leadership Award is a one-year, merit-based scholarship providing incoming freshman students up to $2,000 each year as recognition of their past leadership and future potential. It is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs at UC Berkeley.

Your receipt of this scholarship invitation does not in any way reflect on your application for admission to UC Berkeley. You are no more or less likely to be admitted to UC Berkeley because you have received this invitation, and your decision to apply or not apply for Cal Alumni Association scholarships will not affect your application status.

Everyone gets that, I think…

o well…

ty

^Agreed. Yeah, I remember getting that email.

…It’s the invitation to the Regents’/Chancellor’s scholarship that implies admission.

i guessi’m going back to the den…

Anyone know when Berkeley’s Regents scholarship is getting sent out?

i also got one…is it special? because it seems like everyone gets one…

We received one of those emails on Feb 1st, for our daughter. Our son received one from UCB on Feb 1, 2006. He was not admitted to UCB, but he was admitted to UCLA.

It seems like i’m the only one who didn’t get such email ?

I got two to invitations one called merit scholars and the other one is called the achievement awards program.

Do all 20,000 + applicants get the same invitation?
