Red Bull vs. Coffee for all-nighters

is rockstar better than sobe no fear
?

Hey,

Are there any side effects to drinking alot of energy drinks like Sobe? I heard they cause heart attacks. Is this true?

The only energy drinks I've tried are Red Bull and Starbucks Double Shot... I love coffee but the latter I wasn't fond of - it just didn't do anything for me rush-wise. Red Bull sugar free sucks. I like the original Red Bull. For newspaper deadline I had two Red Bulls and a huge Propel flavored water and around 1am I was wide awake and ended going to bed around 3am perfectly fine.

However, I really try not to drink too many energy drinks because I'm afraid they'll lose the rush! So, only drink when you have to.

What I love most about Red Bull, though... I was pretty satisfied on the three hours of sleep that I got. I mean, I woke up and I was fine. No energy-drink-hangover that I hear that people sometimes get. Aced the test I had the next morning. I was really good - though I think this deadline I may have another drink in the morning to kickstart the day.

I hate how Red Bull is so little and so expensive, though - I'm going to look at Monster, Rockstar, and SoBe No Fear...

i drink 1 a week. thats fine. at least its not beer.

get caffeine pills. oh wait, don't, thats even worse for your health. although i got a free pack from my friend. its really cheap

Someone gave me a pack of caffeine pills in junior high and I took four before running the mile. I almost had a heart attack - pretty bad experience with caffeine pills, though I may look into getting some more. I think over the years I've learned a bit about moderation....

So does red bull cause heart attacks?

Ok, so it doesnt, at least it hasnt be proven so. Thanks.

While your at it why dont you try cocaine and riddlin tablets I heard they do wonders ;P

Dude, if you dont want to help, why post these ridiculous messages? You're making yourself sound like a fool.

just dont take it before a test... its hard to concentrate

yeah, if you drink red bull and pour some cocaine in you should be fine. But since cocaine is illegal and hard to come by, red bull alone should be enough. But like I said before, it will eventually kill you.

lol I make myself look like a fool, instead of using unnatural substances to give yourself an edge and to study all night I would recommend better time management and good old fashion will power to keep yourself away and focused, no need for anything else. It can't possible do any good for your body.

neither do rabies.

First of all, there isnt any statistical evidence that Red Bull can kill anyone, especially if one drinks two cans per week. It has the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee. Ever heard of anyone die from Red Bull?

Secondly, I have so much work that its impossible to organize my time during the day. I have TEN AP classes, in addition to self studying 5. I have a ****load of ECs to do (did I mention I did 2000 hours?) and I also have a social life. I also study for SATs and do my homework at night. All this takes up my day. So all-nighters will give me sufficient time to prepare for national exams or class tests. So, as you can see there is no way I can manage my time, and I cant stay awake by will because of all the stress and tiredness from my workload and also because I wake up at 5:00AM everyday. And its not like I will drink it everynight! Anyways, thanks for your concern :)

wow ok then.

red bull works

I'm rather in the same boat. Junior year was crazy for me. I would work on hw as soon as I got home from speech (9ish) then take a nap at 12, wake up at 1 and work till the morning. My personal fave for energy drinks is BAWLS . . . I've become pretty immune to it now, but I think it tastes the best. Not a big fan of coffee at night either. It helps me in the morning though, weird. I have become somewhat fond of all-nighters, there's an odd since of duty with them that leaves me fulfilled in the morning.

Red Bull never did it for me, I just didn't feel the effect for some reason. I've also drank Rockstar and Monster.
