Red Bull vs. Coffee for all-nighters

And those didnt work either. Did you ever do all-nighters?

Hehe I'm naturally nocturnal. Coffee makes my breath smell, which makes me sleepy. Red Bull... I drank it after an all nighter once and fell asleep an hour later. I don't trust it.

i think i'm immune to caffeine... take triple shot espresso every friday when i wanna stay out late but i could easily just plump out on a pillow. The only reason energy drinks and/or some foods keep me up is b/c of my insane metabolism.... the sugar goes right to my brain within what must be, 15 mins... too bad the hyper-mode burns off the extra energy and puts my body in an extreme state of exhaustion within an hour max... doesn't work too well when i want to stay up til 4 or 5 on study nights... (can't keep eating... diabetes runs in the family :-p

to this day i have not been able to keep a functioning brain going past about 2:30 AM... i start to go delirious/seeing things; i don't have the ability to write my name competently, much less spend another few hours studying the stages of glycolysis.

In short... it depends on the person and the way his/her body works. in general staying up super late is bad for your health, but when its necessary try loading up on food... if nothing works revert to crack or speed (JUST KIDDING, NEVER DO THAT!). The only other option is to be a tad more openminded and modify your schedule and remove the extraneous things that make you so "busy." I'm sure whatever activities you're involved in in high school after school are far less important than your education and your health.

why would you guys even want to pull all-nighters?

For fun!

Honestly, my first one was in middle school when I read magazines all night.

We pull allnighters now because a) we're bored (once I was up all night playing iSketch and I didn't realize what time it was until about 5 AM), b) we procrastinated and/or underestimated our workload, or c) we just have a lot of work.

red bull is disgusting. personally. id go for coffee. maybe even splurge on a double expresso shot. eat food, but not carbs that will make you sleepy. id say, go for fruits. maybe some candy. caramel might be a good idea. i drink soda, esp. diet coke. thats my form of awake-maker. if thats even a word lol.

ok kiddo, to original poster:

don't try red bull, coffee, soda, milk, or anything like that

take adderall. (buy it off of some friends that have add)
the blue pills are good. u dont want anything too strong.

but be careful. u'll feel like **** the next day. but at least u'll get ur work done.

So I tried everything last summer at MITES to stay awake. I always had a 2 liter of Mountain Dew in my room (the only thing that it did to make me stay awake was I had to go to the bathroom), I tried Red Bull (put me on a high for about 15 minutes and then I crashed), coffee (I never see the effects of it, I just crash right away), Jolt cola (had a nice pop sound to it, but it was ineffective), and all the others. I pretty much just went into the store and bought every energy drink (cost me about 30 bucks). It was a very expensive and useless experiment. I tried taking freezing cold showers every half hour. By the third one I was immune.

If I had access to adderall, I wouldnt have started this thread to begin with. I wish time wouldnt fly so fast :(

I one took adderol for the hell of it to see if it would make me relax and study. I am not ADD or ADHD positive.. so instead of making me relax.. it made me RACE. Lets just say I did horrible on my exam and for the rest of the day I felt like I was on speed.. then I had a HUGE crash and passed out 6 hours later. I am also kinda little but even so I would advise people to be careful, because in my case I got the reverse affect.

u probably took the big pill haha
