I am a transfer student from Pasadena City College, Business Major, applied to Cal Poly as non-residence, 3.15 GPA. Admissions status was for a long time eligible for consideration just like many other folks. I do qualify for admittance for what I have self-report on my application. I checked my broncodirect and the status changed to “denied, csu elig, not redirect.” I assume this means I am officially rejected. With the situation going with the Admissions, Can I still appeal? What are the chances of getting appealed? Are there really absolutely no seats available? Appealing doesn’t sound logical if there are no spaces left and obviously I was on waitlist. So would I be appealing to get back on waitlist?? Can someone please help me??? Many thanks!!!

I’d say do it. The worst they can say is no.

Looks like a lot of business transfers with good standing are being rejected (myself included). Here’s another topic covering appeals to admission decision: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cal-poly-pomona/919883-denied-csu-elig-not-redirect.html

I sent mine in last Friday, the same day I got my admission decision notice. The chances are pretty slim, but like CK said, the worse that can happen is they say “No”.

I’m a freshman but I also applied for Business Administration, and I got rejected. I’m sending in my appeal tomorrow.

Good luck VVT-i and everyone else filing an appeal. It takes 2-3 weeks for the office of Admissions and Outreach to reach a verdict.
