Did people who didn’t receive the supplemental get accepted?

@StaticRoar Of course. It’s not really a good thing if you get it, but it means you haven’t been rejected off the bat. But people who receive the supplemental can still be rejected as well, or accepted.

It depends. I got mine back in the beginning of January but some people got theirs very, very recently (like a few days ago). If you’re a borderline applicant (meaning they like your application but your GPA is low) they send you a supplemental (though they also have them for disability or talent). It basically means they want to admit you but they want to look at you closer. You had to answer two additional essay questions and send a midyear report. Also it’s not looked at the same way as the rest of the applicants. Usually applicants are judged by comprehensive review (where your GPA can count for x percent of your total application score) but supplemental applicants are judged by holistic review (where your application is reviewed by a few people on its strengths as a whole). You got an email asking you to fill it out.

As far as I can tell, supplemental applicants are judged in their own pool separate from those whose decisions were more black and white. But yes, people who get the supplemental can still be accepted, rejected, or waitlisted just the same.

I really hope the reason I didn’t get one is that despite my Low GPA, I made it just past the finish line.

If I get rejected from Irvine, and obviously I’ll get rejected from LA and Cal regardless of Irvine, then I’ll basically have to hope that one of my privates accepts me and makes it affordable.

I applied to 7 UC’s (all but Merced and Riverside), but I’ve had second thoughts about Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara. That literally would leave me with Cal, LA, SD, Davis, and irvine in the UC system. Of that, I got rejected by Davis and waitlisted by San Diego, which makes rejections by Cal and LA obviously expected. Since SD waitlist probably won’t work out, that’d leave Irvine as my last hope for UC system.

If it doesn’t work out, I may have to give Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara (if I get in), another look.

Wow. Same here. Since I always consider UCI as my first choice, I really hope I have a chance to get in, but I haven’t heard anything yet. So frustrated.

Same condition here. Still waiting for Irvine. :(

Same situation. Didn’t get a supplement for any of the UCs. Feeling a bit down, but hoping for the best. Does anyone know when the next batch comes out? I really would like to know so I can do something more productive than obsessively refreshing my UCI app status page.

If I am ELC but I get rejected from irvine then is there a chance that I still might end up there do all ELC kids
Pretty much go to Merced or riverside?

@chameleon2 The rejections are usually saved for the last 3 days.

wow, we are all on the same boat. I got rejected by both ucd and ucsd…
LETS HOPE THAT WE ALL GET INTO IRVINE AND SB!!

I got rejected by UCD but I got into UCI. My SAT was 1800, so relax. Good luck!
I am a mechanical engineering major applicant and I received my admission letter through email yesterday.

I haven’t heard anything from UCSD though

Congrats wcahde! What’s your GPA? (UCs seem to weigh GPA more than SAT) And UCSD decisions are out, on their app status check site.

OMGGKLJKL!J!J!LIK! I JUST CHECKED AND I GOT IN! SO happpyy this was like my last hope :))) I wish everyone the best!!!
