I got rejected from UCR, but i got accepted to UCI and UCD?

Were you planning on going to UCR over the other two schools? If so then maybe you can try petitioning the decision, even though I know nothing of the process and I'm not positive if you can still. But, if you weren't planning on going to UCR then you should be happy that you got into the schools you would have chosen anyway. I'm not positive what you are asking though, so I hope whatever it is was answered -- at least partially.

notthegreatone, you're not missing anything by not getting the admission. Unless you live right next door to UCR, you should be considering UCI or UCD. I know a lot of people who got rejected to UCLA but got in Berkeley....

I live close to Riverside and i sent in an appeal

Is UCR your top choice over UCI and UCD? I would personally just go to UCD instead.

Yeah, UC admissions were wacky this year. Alot of people who were overqualified got rejected while some people who obviously did not deserve the spot got in. Many cases of that at my school. Actually, this might even apply to me.

but you need to take into account the fact that those who "did not deserve it" probably had impressive and amazing essays..
