Rice College System (legacy)

So my dad and uncles went to Rice and they were all in Weiss.
If i'm accepted into Rice, they will give me the option of Weiss or NOT Weiss.
Any opinions?
Btw, for any current students, one of my uncles was the mastermind behind the turning of Willy's statue in the academic quad. :) I've got alot to live up to.

Don't worry about it until you're in. You also forgot your third option: leaving it entirely to chance.

It's Wiess.

Wiess is a great college, but it really is up to you whether or not you want to go into Wiess or let Rice randomly pick for you. And this, of course, is based on the premise that you will get in, first of all.

So, as NYSkins1 said, just wait until you're accepted before starting to worry about which college you'll live in.

Go for Wiess. Nice facilities. JMHO!

Hmmm, misspelled that in my application.
Haha, whoops.

hopefully they wont hold that against you!
for sure i'm not taking my admission for granted
rice is a very competitive school
that's part of the attraction

I haven't been in Wiess, but if you've been in it and you like it, then go for it. When I visited, I went in Baker and Sid Richardson and stayed over night in Lovett. I loved Baker and Lovett, but Sid Richardson wasn't exactly pleasant. If you go with Wiess, you wouldn't get stuck with somewhere you can't stand.

DS is a proud Sidizen and loves it. Sidizens are especially proud of the height of their towering building ;). I never liked the Lovett "toaster", but DD was fine there. :) The way it usually works out is that once you are integrated into your res college, you won't really care what the building looks like...
