So I won't be able to apply until the last day of roar because I applied to mizzou late...will I still have a chance of getting the room I want?

Do you have a roommate in mind? If so if they have an earlier date it should not be a problem

I don’t ive been trying to find one but haven’t had any luck

We just “ROARED” today. Also last day eligible based on application date. We clocked on right at 4p and pickings were slim! Because daughter is a transfer, FIG’s were not an option. The plan was to go for a GLC, but they were all full already. So she is in the 4 person suite of singles in North Hall in a Business TLC, even though she is a J major. But no sooner than the room was picked, she got friend requests from suitemates and has chatted with 2 of them. So all looks positive at this point! We are from NY and one is from NJ (which might make traveling back and forth nice!) and at least one plans to also do rush/recruitment. One of her suitemates is a nursing major and one is textiles (not sure about 3rd), so looks like the TLC theme may not hold true.

We tried to ROAR yesterday and everything is gone that she would be allowed to select. They told us that this is normal and things will move around and change from now until July and to keep checking. I wish they would notify you when something you qualify opens up or allow you to list your top 5 dorm choices and they can just pick for you. Not sure ROAR is very efficient and not a good way to welcome you to their school.

concernedmom27 - I had a similar situation with my son (at different school). I was able to find out from housing that they upload changes at same time each day (might want to check with Mizzou) and I would go on then (son was in class - I had list of preferences). At first not much but after May 1 (school commitment deadline) changes started popping up. He was able to get his preference pretty soon thereafter. The one thing I learned was don’t lose hope and just make it part of the program. You would be surprised how many kids keep changing well into the summer and up to move-in.
