Note: Suction Cup Hooks (the kind that lock on) can also cause damage to walls with drywall.

Has anyone heard anything good or bad about those decorative wall decals?

Sterno
barbed wire
mustard gas
hemp
tar
chicken manure
auburn paraphernalia
tanning beds
moose heads
worm holes
jackalopes
Futura Stone

Dang Malanai…how could I have forgotten those and what NRDMOM added? But barbed wire may make the cut simply becasue it is not flamable…though surely still a safety risk!

Oh, and Sea Tide…if you read UA’s list, organic peanut shells are allowed, just not fake ones or tumbleweed (assumed organic or synthetic). So peanut shell away, you crazy college kids! LOL

^^^It takes a village, vlines. :)

The tumbleweed listing cracked me up. Did someone actually have a tumbleweed in their dorm at one time which created the need to put that on the list. I realize that some of these banned things are “standard in the industry,” so it may be on some “college housing risk mgmt” list, but seriously! lol

the tumbleweed got me going too, M2CK! Of all things! I kinda get most of the others…sort of.

They should probably add a hot tub to the banned list…

Re: tumbleweeds, I believe I have the rationale:

So you see, UA Housing is learned and on it! Thou shalt not disperse propagules!

Yep, they do have those blow up portable hot tubs now!

So does UA housing think that tumbleweeds promote careless drinking…to which I mean “carelessly sloshed libations”?

Are they against alcoholic beverages all together…or just the careless sloshing of said alcoholic beverages? hummmmmmm sounds like a chicken and egg question.

WAIT…CHICKENS are NOT on the list (live or stuffed!)

Last year, we bought this bookcase from Target for DS and had it shipped to Paty. It folds completely flat and was easy to transport home at the end of the year. It actually looks pretty nice and will certainly last all 4 years.

Plastic key fobs to easily identify which is the main door key and which is the bedroom key

@Peachtide can you email me the list? ill pm you the email. thanks!
I originally read the end of that sentence as “other carelessly sloshed librarians”…
No kidding: as a prank, me and some fellow UC Davis-ites ‘decorated’ a dorm room with tumbleweeds in college. We went out late one night into the wilds of Yolo County - could only fit like 1 plant in each car’s backseat and another in the trunk because they are so big - and then put them all in the dorm while a student was sleeping. Ha ha!!! I didn’t know this was a ‘thing’! Perhaps we were trendsetters?
