Oh, okay. Phew!
Well, now we just have to play the waiting game. It’s pretty stressful.
I eagerly run to the mailbox day to day. Haha.

Do you know when they will send out the Acting letters?

Does anybody know an estimated number of how many people audition for CCPA on an average year for MT?

I don’t have an exact number, but it’s somewhere between 300-400 applicants for theatre. I would say at least 2/3 of those applicants are for MT and 1/3 are applying for the Acting program.

Hey there fellow inductees. My name is Colin Schreier and I’ve also been accepted into CCPA at Roosevelt’s MT program. I’m absolutely elated after such an exhausting search and audition process that my hard work and determination finally succeeded. I’m a transfer student from Ball State Univ. so my credit hours may put me a year ahead of my class (Gen. Ed. class wise), however I would like to speak with anyone, current student or freshly accepted about the program and any thoughts and insights that they may have.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting for the letters and I hope to hear from you all soon.

Colin

Colin,
When did you find out and where did you audition??

MTBoy, I auditioned in January and found out on March 1. I received an email and a phone call congratulating me on my acceptance. Can’t express how relieved I was to hear any news, but I was fortunate enough to receive some good news. How about yourself? And what’s your view on CCPA from the audition and possibly from speaking to students there.

Well congrats, Cschreier!
I auditioned at NYC Unifieds and havin’t heard anything yet. I was actually accepted on the spot after my audition but I havint got anything official yet!
I have a few acquaintances who attend CCPA and they love it a lot! Its a conservatory program so it is very concentrated and the faculty is wonderful. Its especially great cause its right in Chicago!

Congrats to you-and nice to hear they accept transfers. I think there’s a resolve and maturity that transfers bring into a program. They have seen the good, bad and ugly and know how badly they want this now. But many schools appear to have unfavorable views toward transfers.
Guess it’s not a good sign, however, if we haven’t been notified via email at this point following a Feb. audition. Such a good program CCPA seems to be. You are most fortunate!

Well it’s good to hear that you have had such a positive response immediately following your initial audition at Unifieds and I hope that you receive a confirmation very soon. As for abbygirl, don’t worry too much about the time-frame in which you’re receiving notifications. A correspondent within the conservatory told me that they could send them out as late as the end of March, so just keep faith and have patience; I know it’s easy for me to say, but I know how much the waiting sucks.

In the hopes that all of you receive the news you’re hoping for…
Colin

Hey guys. I have also been accepted into Roosevelt’s BFA Musical Theatre program. I’m really excited. This whole college thing has been a rough ride and it felt so good to finally get a yes!

Do you have to receive an acceptance letter from CCPA and Roosevelt University? Or is it one in the same?
