@jellocello67 Where did you hear that from?

I’ll post as soon as I receive a decision e-mail. Hopefully you all can do the same!

One of my senior friends attended last year. He is Dr. Kisailus’ nephew and of course was able to ask him questions about the process and get all sorts of extra information. He told me about the admissions process. Whether that’s true or not, I’m not sure.

@Jellocello67 Oh that sounds legit. Thanks for sharing. Any other information you heard?

Are they only going to send out decision emails to the people who get accepted? That seemed the case for the previous years… Doesn’t matter, we’re on College Confidential, I’m sure a good amount of people here will get in.

Well from reading about the past years they sent out decisions first to people who got accepted and then to people who didn’t. Do you guys have 4.0 GPA? Because I don’t and I don’t know if the standard is a 4.0 for this program.

@thefinest I haven’t heard anything else yet. I hope the requirement isn’t a 4.0. My GPA was a 3.6 when I applied.

@jellocello67 No there isn’t a set “requirement” but I am just wondering if typically most of the applicants have a 4.0

My GPA was a 3.86 when I applied, but I don’t know if you guys take more AP classes than I do. I only take AP Biology, AP Psychology, and AP US History and Government. My parents are getting to the point where they think the program is disorganized and don’t want me to attend even if I get in. It’s also getting hard because I need to accept or decline my summer job position in three weeks and don’t want to decide until I find out about RPCI.

I’m taking AP US History and AP English Language and Composition this year

I don’t think the quantity of the AP courses matter as much as the quality of your grades in your classes

I’m taking six APs and while I agree with @jellocello67 to a certain extent - if you’re getting 70s in your APs, that’s not good at all - I think course rigor is likely a factor in their admissions process. Course rigor is when applying to college, and I would expect RPCI to at least give notice to it.

My school calculates GPA on a 100 point scale so I don’t remember how I converted it, but I believe I converted it to a 4.0 based on this: <a href=“How to Convert (Calculate) Your GPA to a 4.0 Scale – BigFuture”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

My school calculates GPA on a 100 point scale for freshmen-juniors and on a 4 point scale for seniors. My counselor calculated my GPA manually when I applied for RPCI. A 3.6ish is about an A- I’m guessing?

My school doesn’t even offer 6 AP class choices. At least now I know I got into my school’s New Visions program. That’ll give me 25 college credits next year. Would this internship give us a lot of “clinical” hours?

Well, based on @MisterFahrenheit and the website he provided I actually have a 4.0 GPA.

Which internship programs did everyone apply to? My first choice was radiation medicine since that is what I plan to major in.

The amount of time we are waiting now is absolutely ridiculous

@ovcafighter97 You got into New Visions? So did I! What hospital do you go to?and I applied to the preventative medicine as my first choice.

Well I live about an hour and 15 minutes from Buffalo, so obviously we won’t be at the same hospital, but I will be at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY.

@jellocello67 When do your New Visions classes start? Mine begin the middle of August.
