I'm driving right now to SIENA, interview in morning. Maybe I shouldn't be on the internet and driving idk ...

Good luck .... hope you have a good interview. And a safe trip!!

Oh ..please give an update when you get back

Thanks Psychicreader! Well each applicant has a separate intinerary order. Mine went tour, interview, lunch, Roger bacon hall tour. My tour guides were both in the program and very nice/helpful; they showed me their dorms and some embryos there were incubating in the lab. The interview from Siena is different than rpi and union's. Siena chooses the applicants that receive interviews where as AMC chooses the applicants that get interviews for rpi/union programs. So the interview is with a committee of 3 people: Cindy who is sooo nice, the doc that began the program 22 years ago (he asks the harder questions but he's funny too), and a representative from AMC.
All I can say is Stress your community service! Good luck, feel free to email me.

Could you please give examples of the questions that were asked at the interview?

Thanks for the input.Sounds quite relaxed
Will see how the interview at rpi goes.....

rohan115 - you were admitted to rutger's 7 year program?
asking cause app deadline was dec 1, and according website interviews are in jan and feb

i got rpi interview and union interview notifications WHILE i was on tour (not from the adcom, via email) but i think i'm gna turn down rpi interview

wow don't turn down an RPI interview! you should definitely go for it.
I just got my union/AMC supplement in the mail and online as well, they sent the link for the online albany med application...how come a few of you already had interview notifications in early january...?

theres several batches of supplement/interview notifications

Any particular reason why you dont want to go for the rpi interview?

A general question about these programs...are they mostly gearded for instate students? Also how many students get selected for each of these program?.

No, I don't think any one of the programs are specifically geared towards NYS residents as far as I know... and I remember asking admissions people at all three schools when I was visiting in the Fall. Each program is very different though, so if you are looking at them, I'd try to find the one that best fits you.

And as far as numbers go... hundreds apply for less than 20 seats at each school.

i was feeling like rpi wasn't for me... i'm not big on research at all
i don't think i'm methodical or patient enough

and no there is no hook for NY residents, but a large number of the applicants just happen to be from the northeastern sector
