<p>Obviously. Students don’t even care about speeches and what ASB candidates do. All they do is vote for who they know well. </p>
<p>At my school, ASB campaign booklet was given to everyone, informing this year’s candidates. I was appalled: Candidates were just listing EC and what their platforms are. Platforms are severely asinine: “I want to boost school spirit. I participated in many events.” ASB does freaking nothing. All they do is use ASB as a free period and only plan rallies, events, and spirit week with little time.</p>

<p>There’s really only a couple of ways to win, either you are </p>
<ol>
<li>already popular and have a tonnnnnn of friends who will vote for you, </li>
<li>you make the most hilarious speech ever,
3.you’re the person who everybody trusts, has the most experience, dedications etc… </li>
</ol>
<p>give out food!!! everybody is enticed with brownies or cookies. </p>
<h1>1 takes charisma, looks, and mucho friends</h1>
<h1>2 is a hit or miss, I’ve seen some horrible speeches where the person was trying to be funny but failed miserably</h1>
<h1>3 doesn’t always work since people usually vote for their friends anyways.</h1>
