Hi there! I'm transferring to Rutgers-New Brunswick for chemical engineering from a 2 year college as a junior. I'm planning to dorm for the couple of years that I have left. As I read on the Rutgers website there are many dorms and suites for housing. I wanted to know which one is the best, considering how new the building is, the area, students, distance to classes... How are the suites and do we even get a chance to choose what dorm we want to live at? I would not have a car if that is something to consider. I would highly appreciate it if someone could help me and give me some information about housing and dorm for transfer students. Thanks in advance.

They will let you prioritize your campus choices but you cannot select a particular dorm. They will most likely assign you to housing with other transfer students.

If you enter the lottery next year, you will be able to select depending on your group and lottery number. As a senior you will have priority for apartments and should be able to get something on either Livingston or Busch regardless of your lottery pick as long as your group is all seniors.
