I applied and was accepted to RU Camden for Arts & Sciences and Business (including the honors program, which is really cool and close-knit there (and the advisors are truly awesome) –> check it out if you want Camden), but I decided to accept my admission into New Brunswick because Camden lacks much of a campus, the MAJORITY of kids going there live in the general area and commute (>25 minutes away), and it is Camden, one of the country’s top 5 most dangerous cities… But it is smaller, more close-knit, next to Philly, and easier to get into than NB.

Also, I applied Feb. 1 and received notification of acceptance to the RU Camden Campus about 2.5 weeks later then heard back from RU’s NB Campus in the beginning of April.

I also received packets in the mail from both campuses with information regarding the schools I was accepted to as well as receiving an e-mail from RU Camden regarding their Honor’s College.

Check your RU status online under the admission’s tab… they update that fairly frequently. Also, for being waitlisted, they will get back to you in June after other accepted students choose to accept their admission or decline it. Additionally, if you are waitlisted, your final grades from your current school will be very important to the final acceptance decision.

Hi, I am a transfer student and I got accepted to Rutgers New Brunswick Science and Arts school. I am wondering if anyone know when I could register for classes? I went to a community college before this and I honestly have no clue how any of this works. Can I just show up in the registrars office to register?

You register for classes at your schools orientation which you won’t find out about until after they do a credit evaluation. I’m guessing this will happen in June/July.

For those who haven’t gotten their transfer credit evaluation from NB, try logging in to your Degree Audit, the credits that transferred should be there.

I was waitlisted and had a 3.3 gpa and 46 transfer credits. I applied in middle of Jan. My Gpa went from a 3.1 to a 3.3 cum. Maybe they saw how hard I tried to improve.

@Bottlecap1990: I am transferring from Camden County College. For RU Camden, 59 out of 62 credits transferred on my eval. The only class that didn’t transfer over was my 3 cr. Theory of Communications class. But I spoke to someone (actually apart of the Honors College there), and they said that they would be able to make that Theory of Comm. class one of my free electives as soon as I’m there. Soooo, all of my classes transferred over in the end.

I still haven’t heard back from NB regarding my classes but I’m assuming that all of them would transfer over as well.

I just tried to check my Degree Audit for NB and it isn’t coming up. I originally applied to RU NB right out of HS and decided not to go and that is what’s popping up in my Degree Audit. There isn’t anything current. Lame.

My brother who applied and has been accepted since 2 months ago to NB business school checked the degree audit thing and it showed up. However, he told me that it was still unofficial so he will just wait until the orientation on june or july i believe.

Nice to hear that all of your credits transferred to camden.

Hey guys! Congrats to anyone who’s gotten it at Rutgers since I’ve been off the board.

Just a heads up, I was admitted on Thursday. I was never on the WL, but they said they needed my Spring grades to properly evaluate me. I don’t get my Spring grades for another month… so really, really weird! I applied priority, had a 3.5/good HS record… so I wish they would have admitted me two months ago if my Spring grades really didn’t matter When I got the “Congrats” email, I honestly thought it was a glitch!

I am already admitted at AU/paid a hefty deposit/love the school, but I think I’ll wait for financial aid to come in, and possibly give it a second though. Any input would be great.
