Rutgers Transfer FALL 2009 Anyone waiting for acceptance with me?

I’m sorry, riverrun, I was hoping that they would be impressed with how you picked yourself up, and turned yourself around. Did you apply anywhere else?

riverrun1, If you don’t have your AS or AA from your CC, then you should continue taking classes at your CC until you graduate with one. You will have a better chance next semester or next year.

Now don’t go on disappearing on us just because you got rejected. I remember a certain someone (RU-READY) who stopped posting once he got rejected. I know everyone is wondering if he’s still alive or not.

riverrun1, which community college do you attend…

jogirl are oyu still waiting too

hey man i got the rejection, i gotta start looking into other options. i havent heard from my other schools yet, they’re all in california but i was really liking the idea of going to rutgers. i guess it was either rutgers or as far away as possible.

i go to bergen community. i forget if i mentioned this already but after talking to an admission representative i was told that i was missing 1 unit in foreign language and 2 units in math. she told me that even if they waived the foreign language i’d be missing math and vice versa. i know its probably fruitless but im appealing the decision on the basis that im taking 1 foreign language and 2 math courses this summer.

i sent in my appeal letter today, how long do you think i should wait until i call for a follow-up? i’m living on the edge right now because i havent paid for the courses yet and i kinda dont want to until they read my appeal, as they are mainly to appease them. i know i should pay the course fees first but money is simply too tight for me to take these courses unless i KNOW they will pay off soon, or i would just take them in the fall and reapply. help me out guys!

also, have ANY of you guys heard of anyone in the history of college admissions being accepted on appeal? i dont want to get my hopes up, but i really feel like they would accept me after reading my appeal and the actions that i’m taking just to go there.

If it makes you feel any better, I was rejected first. Then I called and asked for a letter explaining why I was rejected. They looked over my file again and said that rejecting me was a simple clerical error. I was actually accepted. I know your situation is different, but i’m just trying to say that they have reversed decisions.

riverrun - did you ever think of applying to Mason Gross, Rutgers Art School,. - They do not have a foreign language requirement - the university has a required math placement test and you must pass intermediate algebra - after that, no math requirement. Mason Gross wants 6 hrs math science for a BFA but you can do 6 hours of science. Anyway, the thought is, if you get into Mason Gross, you could take your foreign language and math at Rutgers. Of course, you would need a portfolio?!?

pjki14, Yes i am still waiting my status shows that it was last looked at 5/4/09 but it still says in process. Is this a good sign? i figure if they reveiwed it and wanted to reject me they would have done so right away…

so did anyone get updates with housing?

has anyone gotten accepted from waitlist yet?

anyone else still waiting to hear back?
its been more than 2 months for me

still waiting here!

hmm. maybe they just forgot about me or something. cause they havent evne looekd at it since they recieved all my documents.
and if they did forget abou tme. ill b elike
yo. you forgot about me. thats a free ticket into rutgers. and hopefulyl they agree. lol

Does anyone know when and how would I be able to register for Fall classes?

you can’t until they review your courses and you attend an advising day… I’m nervous about getting the classes I want. hmph.

Thatsthekey,
I’m nervous about that too… Are you talking about attending the summer orientation or another advicing day?

I’m pretty sure they go together since it’s a two-day thing, but I haven’t received anything about it yet. I want to do everything asap! haha I hate when I can’t get classes I want.

kookie, I think transfers can register for classes after the summer orientation and meeting with academic advisors.

magnet311,

I emailed admissions asking about when can I register for Fall classes and they just replied today saying that for transfer students, there is something called STAR Day in which new transfer students will be able to register for classes with the guidance of academic advisors. For info about STAR Day use the link below;
