I am wondering the saftey problem aroud Tech. Some students there say it could be dangerous at night there and they feel unsafe. How is that?

It’s not dangerous, and I’ve never felt unsafe. Of course, I’m a man so I rarely ever feel “unsafe”.

GaTech is a lot more safe now than it was ten or fifteen years ago. The reason is that Atlanta went through big gentrification effort after 96 Olympic. The campus itself is pretty safe. But one keeps in mind it is big city and one must always careful. Lately, there was quite few crime against students just outside of Ga Tech, mainly on the western side of campus, near Home Park area. For those don’t know, Home Park has many old houses Ga Tech students rent a room that costs as much as live on campus but two people share one room. So it is popular with junior and senior students.

Ah yes, the era when we tore down all of those projects and scattered poor people throughout the metro (or making them homeless) bringing with them the social issues in said projects. Good to see that GT shaft still hard at work. :)

As for the original post, don’t go south of the train tracks. At least that was what I was always told. I still don’t know what that means, but you’ll know when you have like I knew when I did.
