<p>I'm pretty set on transferring to the school that my boyfriend of two years goes to now. I love the school and think it would be a good fit for me. Has anyone had experiences with going to college with your boyfriend? How was it when/if you broke up? I'm nervous because I don't want his presence there to affect my social life and I don't want it to be awkward if we break up. The size of the school is about 5,000 students.</p>
<p>Only consider this if you would make the move even if the boyfriend didn’t exist. Obviously, you shouldn’t stretch yourself financially or settle for less than ideal major to move. If it’s really the school for you, then you can do well there even if you and boyfriend break up - that’s not that small a school. The danger, however, is that you will fall in naturally with boyfriend’s circle of friends and then you will be in pickle if it doesn’t work out. If you do go, you need to be the kind of mature person who will make own circle of friends - if your personality is to be a “cling-on” then no.</p>
<p>If you do recognize those short comings why are you considering that school? Apply to schools you like and affordable, do not let BF get in your way, unless you are ready to get married, of course.</p>
