**SAT 2 Biology Discussion Thread Oct 2015**

thanks so much!

i think its wrong tho

sorry I’m confused which problem you’re talking about cuz I listed three answers: 1) alpine slopes 2) homeostasis
3) fish tank and what would happen to oxygen levels… what were your answers for each?

I searched it up and I think it’s right and we both said the same… global warming=higher co2=faster rate of photosynthesis=more growth

  1. what u said 2) have no idea which question? 3) i said stay the same but i think that the answer was something else
    tht wasnt very helpful lol

loll it’s cool… so number 2 was the one with the tank… there’s fish and animals inside… then the question asked what would happen to the oxygen levels I think?

sorry that was #3… but don’t you think oxygen would increase during day and decrease during night right?

homeostasis was in the common section… it was saying how all of the following maintains homeostasis… some answers was like thyroid feedback loop for A etc.

yeah i think ur right i rushed thru that question for some reason…i just dont remember the question

do you mean for the fish tank or homeostasis one? did i get the fish tank one wrong lol about maximum and minimum

u play tennis?

yupp tennis is my life

but how about the homeostasis and fish tank ones

i dont remember

lol i play tennis like 4 hours a day

If you guys can stop spamming the chat that would be chill. For the alpine question, I’m fairly certain the answer was that they would move to higher altitudes. Global warming is caused by many different gases (e.g. methane, nitrous oxide) and the question led me to believe that the higher altitude answer was correct. There are a lot of sources to support this (e.g. http://www.ucsusa.org/global_warming/science_and_impacts/impacts/early-warning-signs-of-global-7.html) but ofc it’s possible that CB just went their own way.

my bad!! but you don’t think that the greater amount of co2 will cause plants growth to increase?

also what did you get for the homeostasis one?

Development of secondary sex characteristics was the answer; has nothing to do with homeostasis.

lmao I will own you all at tennis. <-- stanford!!!
