@Jordie12345 yea me too but NaOH was not an option in the answers , that’s weird
Ya but the ions for na and oh were so I think that’s the answer
How do you know how to create the equation on the test? I also got Na2O+H2…is it because Alkali metals tend to create basic solutions in water and a gas is evolved in the process?
@JuicyMango yes, h2 is evolved for sure (metals in water release hydrogen) but I guess it should be NaOH and not Na2O but when I asked my teacher she told me that Na2O gets further reduced to form NaOH as Na2O is highly reactive. So I am pretty sure what we marked is correct (Na2O + H2).
@Jordie12345 Sodium cannot ionise on its own, to form Na+ it has to be bonded to another substance (NaCl or Na2SO4 etc) by an ionic bond
how are your results guys?? I left 1 and got like 3 wrong and got an 800
780, I know I got at least 5 wrong and probably about 3 more that I wasn’t positive about. Still very happy with this and will definitely not retake! This curve isn’t as bad as I thought, I got a decent amount wrong and didn’t expect that I would score so close to 800
…I skipped one…not sure i got any wrong…800…and yeah @Kat2016 the curve isnt as bad
770, didn’t expect that, very pleased
780 and and absolutely shocked. I got 680 in November so imma celebrate.
Lol yea curve was low this time I think. I thought I was gonna get mothered by the curve. Still can’t believe I got an 800
