I got a 790 on my chinese subject test w/ listening, and I can read or write in chinese, for some reasons I didn't get a 800 on it. Should I take it again in November? Even though I know college would not think highly of me since I've already spoken chinese.

I think you just answered your own question… I don’t think it’s worth another $40 to get 10 more points

Thanks @lunaa

Exactly. You have proven your proficiency in Chinese while it may not be counted as the SAT2 requirement, why bother to retake it.

I think you must retake it, if you want to prove to yourself that you can get 800 and you deserve 800. However if college admissions is your main concern, you should not retake it, otherwise colleges might even question your critical thinking skills and score. ;)
