the sin graphs i also got C b.c it looked like a phase shift to me?

@Iris!! 5 omit and two wrong here as well… i am hoping for a nice curve!

3 confirmed wrong and 3 skipped. can i still get a 800?

For those who chose E on the student’s best score question: E had a spread of 10. The student scored 10 points higher than average. However, the standard deviation was 5, so he was only 2 standard deviations above the mean. In A, he was 3 standard deviations above the mean. So A is correct.

I chose C for the sin graph. I didn’t consider a reflection, though.

@swoony: You have a few days to cancel, right? Just wait and see.

@amipat: Possibly. If the curve is 43+ like I think it is, then you barely made it. If it’s 44+, you will probably have a 790. Hope for the best!

sin graph was c. it was a phase shift/translation.

@Iris: LOL we’re in the same situation here. 5 omits and 2 wrong. we might get lucky and get 800 but theres an equal chance we could get a 790 -__- might as well just safely get an 800 in June. I’m in honors physics at my school too, and i havent takent ap physics yet but ill be taking the ap exam for physics b next week, so really time to go ham this week. but i’ll definitely be taking math 2 and physics june. damn im so mad because both the questions i missed were really dumb on my part.

Can you guys explain why you guys are canceling 790s?? is it beneficial to retake and get 800 first time then 2nd?

we’re ivy nerds.

i thought u only send the scores u want ?

or is it a matter of self satisfaction?

Not every school accepts score choice. And while one can use SC anyway, colleges may have ways of figuring out if it has been used. For example, some high schools report SAT scores directly on the transcript, which would clearly show a college that does not accept SC that you intentionally disobeyed their requirements (if you chose to not report one or more scores). Yale and Stanford are two examples of colleges that do not accept score choice.

some schools look at all the tests you’ve taken and dont allow score choice.

does anyone know how long we have to cancel our scores??

so are we all convinced that 43=800 given the difficulty?? or would you guys say 42, 43, or 44?

We haven’t really cleared up the 3.7 one. I’m talking about the question that was like if x=4.7 what is f(x).

^ I’m pretty sure it’s 0.7. It has to fit within the domain of f(x) = x, and it doesn’t do so until it is 0.7.

I’ve repeated that like 5 times lol.

I’m almost certain it’s .7
F(4.7) = F(4.7 - 1) = F(3.7) = F(3.7 - 1)…= F(.7) = .7

ugh I skipped 6 and then missed the taxi one since I overthought it, sob. T_____T Hoping 43 = 800…

was 4.88 the answer for the ln(x) and ln(2x) one? I’m sad my calculator’s memory doesn’t remember everything so I only have it up to the mean/median/range one :(

edit; also pretty sure that it’s 0.7.

^ Nope, it was 2.something.

do you remember what the standard deviation was for choice A? was it 7?

The standard deviation was 3
