@kjhnbgfvdcrftgyh for the albino question, I chose the one with parents of, “CcMm x CcMm” because both parents had to have a recessive allele in both of the two genes in order for the offspring to not receive either color. I’m not sure if this was correct though.
Oh guys, the global warming/permafrost/tundra question could have been the answer about the virus, read this article: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ancient-virus-resurrected-after-30000-years-scientists-say/
what I can’t even… T-T
Dunno man. How can fat be water soluble o.o Fat / Cholesterol / Phospholipids are hydrophobic. I think thats why i didn’t chose that option.
And ya albino question i chose same
@Runners I put the option talking about how more CO2 would be released for the Tundra question. I figured CO2 is the only thing related to climate change… Not very sure though…
For the fat problem, I put the option with the word “excess heat”? Still not sure about it.
“Not sure about it” is the general feeling I had when I took this test :-S
I skipped 3-4. Rest i’m fairly confident about but im sort of a pessimist so expecting a 770 or something around that. And Fats are insulators so ya pretty sure i ticked that too.
for those who took the m section did u guys remember anything about a plasma membrane for the last three questions
also for the fat migratory birds i think i put something about heat for the long journey
anyone else?
I messed up in the last 3 questions in m
what did u put? wasn’t it a plasma membrane?
yeah I put plasma membrane for the last one, and the one before it I put phospholipid. I don’t remember the 3rd to last one though
Oh wait, I think I put carbohydrate for the third to last one. I probably messed that one up. But I chose it because it was the only of those molecules I knew that had a 2:1 ratio of hydrogen to oxygen, which was the second condition
any other questions?
I think I messed that one up, what did you put @kjhnbgfvdcrftgyh ? Because carbohydrates aren’t used in cell membranes, but lipids are and I only didn’t choose lipids because they definitely do not have a 2:1 hydrogen to oxygen ratio.
@Wreckdecembersat I put that for the tundra question too…
@Runners hmm not sure what i either put lipids or carbohydrates but carbohydrates are in plasma membranes because they are used as receptors
also does anyone know from past experiences what the curve will be like considering that this was a difficult test?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1171357-sat-2-curves-p1.html
Here is all the subject tests approximate curves. For Biology, I would assume that this curve will be about equal to the one that the OP of the above link posted because the curve he posted already seems lenient compared to Princeton Reviews, which was -16 = 670 versus the -16 = 720 on this link. I haven’t taken this test before so I’ve never seen an official curve, but thats my best guess
Somebody refresh my memory. What exactly was that question?
