SAT score

Is this going to be a severe drag:

650 CR, 790 W, 760 M?

I also got a 650 CR but my worry is Princeton…& my score’s almost identical to yours, but w/ an 800 in W, 750 M

I think what matters more is your overall score though. Getting 700, 700, 700 is worse than 650, 750, 750 if that makes any sense?

would an 800/700/600 look better then a 700/750/750 (2100/2200 composites respectively)

the 800 person is looking at Computer Science/Engineering/Applied Mathematics

Nitro Hawk: if the 800 is in math, that is fine (considering a math-based major). Which sections correspond to each score though?

I initially had a 610 in CR and then I retook the SAT and I got an 800. I was shocked especially since that section was never my forte.

ehh can’t do anything about it now so don’t worry about itttt

“Nitro Hawk: if the 800 is in math, that is fine (considering a math-based major). Which sections correspond to each score though?”

waaait. so then would my 600 in math be fine since i’m applying as an english major and got 800 w and 740 cr? i’m getting mixed signals on this forum.

They don’t really consider your intended major to be a major factor (more like “oh so he/she wants to be that. Interesting!”) because changing your major isn’t such a big deal…

i.e. if you have a poorly in math on SAT I, it won’t be negated if you want to be an english major…you kind of have to do well in every section…

k so ParTeeGrl28x was wrong in the whole “Nitro Hawk: if the 800 is in math, that is fine (considering a math-based major)” thing. well that’s good for nitro hawk to know too.
