SAT Scores and Major: Does it matter?

<p>When applying to colleges, does what major you select affect how they view your SAT score? For example if my math is 700, CR is 760, and writing is 770 would I have a better chance if I applied as an English major than as an Applied Mathematics major?</p>

<p>Do you want to do English? Or Math? Or whatever? That's up to you; a standardized test won't correctly gauge your skill in a subject (unless you totally bomb it, and you definitely didn't bomb it if 700 is your lowest score).</p>
