I just finished off my Junior year, taken the SAT once and the ACT once, took 3 SAT II's only using one, going to take more, plan on taking SAT again. But for now, just wondering if colleges like seeing ACT vs the SAT scores, or if they are unbiased. My Scores are:

SAT
Crit Reading - 640
Math - 670
Writing - 650 Total Score - 1960 Combined - 1310

SAT II
Physics - 660 (retaking)
Math 1 - 720

I think my ACT is better, but I'm weary submitting that to a college as opposed to the SAT, worried about bias or things like that. What are your thoughts on this? And as a side note, how do these look for a school like Columbia?

from your scores, I am guessing you are probably not applying anywhere prestigious enough that takes SAT IIs. I could be wrong. I'd just pretend you never even took them, and go ACT. Your ACT will not keep you out of any university in the nation; your SAT will though.

Actually, I was intending on applying to a few prestigious schools (Columbia, U Penn, RPI, Cooper Union, Cornell) but I'm keeping my choices open, the lowest school on my list is NYiT; Drexel, Bucknell, VT are in the middle ground. Still unsure completely where I really want to go. I plan on retaking all of the tests, and adding the Math 2 SAT II. Plan to enter electronics engineering major. Thanks for your comments, they were helpful.

I think ACT looks better even though everyone over here takes the SAT. I took the SAT already and did ok, but I'm going to take it again in October along with the ACT.
