Hey!

I'm a current sophomore in high school. So I've taken both of the Princeton Review practice tests for math lvl 1, and I've also scored less than ideally. I got a 730 on my first and 760 on my second. I'm aiming for an 800, because math is my strong subject. So really, what I wanted to asked was whether it is worth it to study for the Math lvl 1 to get an 800 or just wait to take the Math level 2? I noticed that there was basically no curve for the math level 1 and is that how it is on the real exam?

If math is your strong subject, wait for Algebra II or Precalc and do Math II.
Math I isn’t as good as Math II in college applications and virtually the only way to get an 800 is to get a 100%.

I would wait and take Math II. Some of the top math and engineering colleges specifically require Math II, and Math II looks better on an application regardless.

Nearly 13% of Math II takers get an 800 (I know because it said I was in the 86%ile or something like that). In a way Math II is a little riskier – getting below an 800 is usually less than satisfactory.
