<p>my friend told me that many ppl he knew got scholarhip ($6000?) to UT. he thought the reason was because he and the other scored above 2100. Is this true? Because if it is, I never received any kind of scholarship even though I scored 2140. Could the reason i didn't receive scholarship be because I got into the Undergraduate Studies school and not my top choice school?</p>

<p>That’s most likely the reason. I got a 2110, and I was accepted into the College of Engineering. I got a $6,000/year scholarship from the COE, not UT itself.</p>
<p>It seems like the College of Engineering has money for scholarships for incoming freshmen, more so than other schools within UT.</p>
<p>Them, Geosciences and Nursing award a large number of scholarships. Other colleges offer very few, and I believe that McCombs offers none.</p>
