Which school do you think has a more generous scholarship program?

Son is considering both schools and major in enginnering (Biomedical/Bioengineering or mechanical). We are OOS.

From what I’ve heard they are pretty equal, but AFAIK, merit scholarships are not guaranteed. I didn’t apply to Clemson, but U. South Carolina was quite generous with me for the stats I had (33ACT, 3.92 UW). If I recall correctly, students are not notified of the scholarships they’ve been awarded until March of their senior year. Depending on one’s stats, in-state tuition plus some extra money is common. Note that increases in in-state tuition would make your tuition costs rise each year. Engineering seems to be a major where lots of people are offered some attractive scholarship packages.

I agree. Scholarships aren’t guaranteed. Depending on stats, in-state rates are sometimes given.
