Scholarships

I was hoping to receive a scholarship of Pitt, though my hopes may have been a bit too high because I don’t think i quite meet the requirements for a scholarship. My SAT is 2110 but CR+M was only about 1360. My GPA when I applied was around a 97.4% and I was top 10%, but both are bit higher now. I was wondering if contacting Pitt and updating my GPA/grades/class rank and activities would benefit me or is it too late? I know applicants are supposed to hear about scholarships by March 1st at the latest so I feel like it might be a bit too late… Someone’s input would be very helpful, thanks!

@mlg0312, I would encourage you to give our office a call. Ask to speak to an Admissions Counselor and they can take a look at your account, give you some advice, and make any necessary updates: 412-624-7488.

@hailtopitt1787 I called today and the woman I spoke with said that scholarship consideration only looks at Junior year grades- though I thought I recalled hearing at the info session that you could send in updated information?

@mlg0312, The information you received from the Admissions Counselor should be accurate. Feel free to follow up with our office if you still have questions. Unfortunately, I do not have more information to share with you!

@hailtopitt1787 I did not get to speak to an admissions counselor because none were available… I tried calling my admissions counselor but no one answered. Thank you for all your help!

@mlg0312, You can certainly feel free to try and contact your admissions counselor again. If you leave a message or send an email, they should respond to you shortly.
