<p>Urgh, I'm with all of you guys about how awful this waiting is...</p>
<p>I entered a writing portfolio region-at-large...haven't heard anything...am going slightly crazy over it.</p>
<p>Ok, so I just thought I'd let everyone know this info because I finally did go crazy today and I called scholastic and asked if they knew when results would be out.</p>
<p>The woman I spoke to said that they go through submissions alphabetically, and as of today, they are only on Ds. She said that all of the final decisions should be made no later than April 4 or 5. </p>
<p>She also said that they notify by email and by snail mail. </p>
<p>Hope this helps, even if it is just more waiting...</p>

<p>Ah! I don't think that I can wait that long. At least now I won't have to fight the urge to check my school inbox every day.... And only on D's?!?!? Double AH! I wonder if they've gotten to me by now.... I hope they don't think my writing is terrible. I don't want the judges to remember my work as the Worst Short Story EVER. ...Triple AHHH!</p>

<p>Hey guys!!just to let you know...i recieved notification today that i've recieved regional recognition! (my teacher got an e-mail yesterday.) i don't know the details of the award yet...but yeah. basically, they're starting to let people know.</p>

<p>Don't worry LesOs - my teacher got the notification e-mail, not me; I haven't recieved direct notification yet (my teacher's e-mail said the details of my award would be explained in info that they'd mail in the next couple of weeks). Perhaps the teacher you listed on your application has gotten some kind of notice.</p>
<p>Ooh...I hope that's the case. You must be so relieved right now :)</p>
<p>I'm 1/2 relieved... and 1/2 even more stressed out now. Because, if I don't get in, I'd rather find out personally than find out through my English teacher.... that situation would be pretty sad. Wow, I'm pessimistic!</p>
<p>Yep...that makes sense. I'm expecting rejection, cuz I have 0 faith in my writing, haha. I wish that they provided some sort of feedback once they read the pieces...</p>
<p>Me too... but I think that I would cry while reading it, and spend the next week hanging my head in shame. Heh.</p>
