Hey, so I'm having issues figuring out how to send my ACT/SAT scores. Obviously, I've mailed off my highest scores, but a number of colleges, namely UPenn and Columbia, want to see ALL your scores. Does this mean they want you to send them official score reports, or can you self-report in your application? PLEASE help me, I'm worried this is going to be super expensive!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuump!

From the Columbia website:

“Students should officially submit all scores from all sittings of the SAT and SAT Subject Tests. Students may submit only their highest ACT composite score officially and self-report other ACT scores by adding them to the Additional Information section of the application. While the College Board sends a cumulative record of all testing for one fee, the ACT requires separate fees for each test date; we do not want ACT takers to incur greater costs, so applicants may officially report only their highest ACT Composite (with subscores) and self-report all other ACT scores.”

Ok, so basically this is the issue: I got a 34 on my ACT as a 3rd attempt. Do these colleges require me to send ALL THREE of my scores? Because that’s 27 dollars per school! I really would like to just self-report!

Likewise, some schools require the SAT II tests even when you took the ACT. Does that mean I have to send them my SAT I test scores too? I am so confused!

Thank you! But what about UPenn? Their directions are ridiculously vague.

Bumping up an old thread! I’m having the same issue. $30 per school. Does anyone know if we can email the school and send 1 official score report, and self-report others? Stanford & I think Yale allow this because they recognize ACT is a lot more expensive…
