I might be getting a D in one of my classes, but i am switching my major from biology to economics. I've been getting As in all my english, and other G.E classes and am pretty good at econ. The bad grades I've gotten have been in science classes, which is why i've finally decided to stop being stupid and stressing myself out at something I'm not good at .. I'm taking 13 units over the summer .. I'm pretty sure I can get A's in these classes. I currently have a 2.9 ..

I know the mistakes i'm making, but I'm really not passionate enough about this major to go on with it. I don't plan on going to UCLA or Berkeley but I'm really depressed right now. I want to go to either Davis or UCSD. I can study my ass off, but i can get so nervous during this teacher's tests, so a C might not be possible. I don't have that kinda faith in me.

However, I am passionate about econ, I discovered that in high school. I just always had it set in my mind that in order to help people you have to be a doctor, but I'm not going to be so destructive towards myself by continuing this.

3.0 the minimum for TAG. I think they rejected loads of people with 3.1-3.2 last May, and all of them are TAG. Some of them appealed but I am not sure if they won the case or not. Just bring your GPA up and ACE all your major requirement courses then it shouldn’t be a problem. As for test anxiety, everyone have it. For me, the best way to cure it is to study, study, and study until the test questions look like a joke lol

Ahh… Test anxiety. Take care of it!! Either go to the special services dept. at your school and ask them if there is anything you can do or take. They gave me time and a half to take my exams in a completely separate room the day after everyone else’s test (usually). It really did help me out.

I also have friend who has test anxiety too but they give him “happy pills”. Apparently they help you relax before each exam. He says its saving his grades big time. Look into it man.

^are you serious? Oh man, that’s so awesome. I never knew that they would do something like that lol Do they do that at UC too? lol I am so going to enroll on the program xD

I checked out ASSIST and I have to take the same level of Calculus as I would have with Biology. I just have to take Stats as well, so I’m just adding that.

I’m just wondering if I can still TAG in the fall though, because I will have 45 units done by the end of this quarter. But, my GPA might not be so hot.

I also finished one of the courses in the 3 calculus classes I have to take. I have two more to take. I was stupid and dropped it before the quarter even started, to focus on the class I am currently getting a D in.

Edit: I calculated my GPA, and if I get a D, I’d have a 2.7 by the end of this quarter. I don’t have to retake that class in terms of UC for the C or higher thing … but I probably should, right? However, if I get As during the summer quarter, I can raise that to a 3.0. I’m pretty sure I will, I usually get A’s in those classes.

Also, you update schools with your fall grades, right? So if I get a 4.0 in the fall as well, that will bring me up to a 3.28. Should that be fine? Or do I have to stay at community college for another year?

So basically they said that if I retake the class the UC’s will count my new grade in my GPA and ignore the old one, but it will still be on my transcript. I don’t know how negatively this will affect me since my previous plan was to go to med school after i obtain my undergrad, but now i want to go to law school.
