Hey guys,
I have been recently admitted to a couple of California State Universities. My long term goal is to major in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Business. These are the schools I am considering going to:
San Diego State
Long Beach State
Cal Poly Pomona
Which school provides the best ME and business program, internship opportunities, etc.? Which school is better in terms of job prospects and salary? Do companies really prefer one over the other?
Due to the coronavirus, I didn’t get a chance to visit the campuses but I know from personal research what social life there is like, so really what I am looking at is how difficult would it be for me to find a job and how seriously would I be considered as a candidate for a potential job spot.
i dont think there’s a wrong choice on your list. I’d lean to SDSU for its location and more residential feel.
Check out the career centers for each school and see which employers recruit. Internships and jobs are really up to you to take advantage of all the resources available. All three are well known to local employers so where would you like to work post grad?
My son attend SDSU, so I have a slight bias but i am also a CPP grad along with my husband whose company recruits heavily from CCP for ME/EE and Civil Engineers.
