Sending Scores

So I'm a sophomore and i took the june 2012 ACT. I have a couple questions regarding score reporting. They let us change the 4 free scores we can send until next thursday, I believe, but since i'm am a sophomore i don't know if I want to send it to any schools (all of which would likely be ivies). Hearing from counselors I guess they hold your score somewhere until you actually apply, in two years for me, but is it worth it? Does saving some money and sending the colleges your reports now instead of senior year have any difference in how they look at it? is it premature to send my act reports to the colleg ? And if you do send it would it be rude not to apply when it comes to senior year?
Thanks

I don’t think you can change it after you take the ACT. I think it’s the Thursday before you take it, but i’m not 100% sure. Since you can send it to 4 colleges for free, you might as well because it’ll save you money. Colleges will accept the highest score, so I wouldn’t worry about that. And rude to send your scores but not apply? I wouldn’t worry about that. Colleges can’t expect you to know what schools you’ll be applying to 2 years from now. I’m going to be a senior, and I still don’t know if I’m going to apply to all of the schools that I sent my scores to.

You can change who to send scores to, after the test:

OP, Sometimes colleges may request more recent test results. However, generally it is not a problem for them to accept your scores, as a rising junior.

If you think you did well report them… You have until next Thursday… But, if you don’t report them, it might be a good thing b/c you are wanting to attend an ivy league school. If you wait till your senior year you could just send them your best score. And, they would have no way of knowing if you scored a 12 your first time… Anyways just a thougt…
