And on the lace passage, there was place (after something about Venice, 1500s) that you could put a period and started the now new next sentence with “As”.

Was that the right choice?

And on the lace passage, there was place (after something about Venice, 1500s) that you could put a period and started the now new next sentence with “As”.

Was that the right choice?

I did good on the Math and English but I totally f**ked up the Science and Reading.

For the English one pertaining to the lace and economies? Was it “no” because there was no mention of economy? or “no” because it only briefly described the economy?

Damn.

I think I got a best case situation of 36 in English and Reading, 33 in Math (missed the equilateral triangle, 2c/b, and the x^2 + M =0 at least), and god knows what in science. Probably a 33 at best.

@Wiscongene I put no because it only briefly described

Hey on the Alfred Hitchcock section of English I have two questions.

Did u say to add the passage about him appearing like on the sailboat?

And it said something like “his appearances are short and usually silent”
And then there was an answer choice like “brief and generally quiet”
Which did u guys put?

the distance was 6. and i put no, since the passage never really mentioned the impact of lace on the Europe’s economy

I would add it because it adds an example. And I said no change for that one.

anyone have an answer about the 68.5 MYR crater / basalt question?

It did briefly mention some economics. It provided supplemental income for fisherman or something

@Timex

I added the quote for your first question and kept it as is for your second.

what about the one with the shaded triangles within the rectangle… was it just half? So 54?

and are u guys POSITIVE about the question where they both had the same domain? f(f(x)) and the other graph i don’t remember…

I also said “no” because it only briefly mentioned economics.

Jd, the answer I got was 4.47 (I programmed the formula into my calculator).

I usually would think that type of answer that is right in between two possible choices would be wrong, but the question specifically said “closest to”. If it were an answer to be rounded more accurately, I don’t think they would’ve bother putting “closest to” in the q description because it would’ve been assumed.

I think it was no, but briefly described the economy because in the last paragraph it talked about how it was shifting from homemade to manufactured, which was another question in itself…and saying that it didn’t talk about the economy at all is a bit extreme…

Why were the trees beneficial to the environment?

A couple questions on science you had to know chemistry. Glad I just took that class.

@Timex - IMO, that Hitchcock one was the hardest in reading. The only two good choices were “brief but silent” and “short but unspoken.” I went with the latter; all the other choices seemed to indicate that Hitchcock didn’t talk, not that he was completely silent.

@newBeginning - so you put 5? was that even an answer choice?

I’m positive about the same domain. Both domains were all real numbers. Think about it, the only time you have a domain that’s not ARN is if it’s restricted by an asymptote or a hole, which neither were.

The trees were beneficial because they blocked high winds that would wreck lesser trees
