I thought that the Science section was harder than usual…

yeah i used the pythagorean theorem for the flag pole question. i think i did it wrong. oops.

jd, why do you do length/2 and width/2?

@smooch. the park was a rectangle and the flag was in the dead center. try to visualize that. Now visualize the distance between the flag and the corner- it’s just the hypotenuse of the triangle you can make by taking half of the bottom(length) of the park and half of the side of the park(width). Then you just use pythagorean theorem to solve for that diagonal.

so what’s the consensus on the is/are for “most” english question?

should i submit a complaint due to a mistiming during my test…?? I had to guess on like 8 questions because the proctor failed to read a clock accurately… or will this cancel my scores if ACT complies with my complaint? october will be my last chance before early apps for schools!!

thanks jd! i totally couldn’t picture the image because they had the ground lights and flag in the diagram and not the rectangle… probably should’ve drawn a picture

umm cortana, i read somewhere in an english guide that prepositional phrases after words like “most” “some” “all” “any” “none” affect how the verb is gonna be… so if the prepositional phrase has a singular noun, im guessing itd be is and itd be are for plural nouns

some people say corn and others say corn stalks. Wouldnt it make more sense to be importing corn rather than corn stalks?

is. corn is singular. forget “most of” is even there.

Math curve predictions? Any chance of a -1 being 36?

Does anyone remember the Form Code of the September ACT?

for the one about adding the quote or not in the english section about the cameos in the movies…do you say to add it?

yes but the passage said “corn stalks” not just “corn”.

I thought “corn” can also be plural.

ARE SURE IT SAID CORN STALKS??? NOT JUST CORN??? b/c if thats right then i actually got it right! can we talk about all the questions about the st. kitts passage?

@ACTTester the form code was 69D

I said add the quote. It was definitely pertinent to the topic of the passage.

no it said corn.

I think I got corn to be plural

i thought it was off topic and too long
