Serious Relationship, but two different colleges

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over two years and he's my best friend. We're going to different schools though (MIT and Stanford), and so it's going to be an emotional parting. Is anyone else in the same situation? We should form a support group.

Are you staying together?...I was in a similar situation.

Yeah, we are.

you're probably going to break up by the end of your frosh year. Don't worry though, have fun with it, hook up on winter break, have a good time, it'll run its course, especially since you'll become 2 different people in college. It happens, but good luck and have fun while it lasts.

punkdudeus,

I don't think we should be predicting that barberconcerto is going to break up with her boyfriend. I've been with my girlfriend now for almost 8 years, and we've spent considerable time and distance apart from one another for much of the relationship.

The trick is to keep communication open and to accept the fact that a long-distance relationship requires more work. However, with the marvels of the internet and free long distance, it's much easier than it used to be.

we are about 9hours drive, or 1hr30m flight...
dnt know whats gonna happen...

im really scared...

9 hours isn't that bad.

Try spending 1.5 years 11 hours apart by plane.
