Sheets and towels from RHL

I just got the flyer from RHL (residence hall llinens program). Has anyone ever ordered sheets and towels from them? I'm wondering about the quality.

I have heard that they are OK but do not think it is really saving you any money.
In a few weeks Target and Linens & things and Bed Bath and Beyond will all be carrying the back to school stuff.
I bought all my son's sheets and towels at Penneys (the basic JC Penney stuff) and they held up real well for his 4 years at Penn State.
We ordered the same for my daughter because she wanted specific colors only available online but they were backordered over a month so we ended up getting all her stuff at Target. Plus matching lamps, rug, desk things, etc.
By the way they will have a rug sale too at PSU - that seemed to be overpriced for what you get. If you have room to bring one, do that and save your money.

I agree that the rugs are overpriced but it can be hard to transport a big rug with all the other stuff. My son and his rm got a big rug (9X12) I think - and split the cost. Nothing special, but it really warmed up the room (looked much better than a couple of small throw rug on bare floors).
We didn't get the sheets. Better buys at Target and Linens and Things.

If you buy the rugs from PSU, do they help you set it up in your room?

ha, no, that was the other thing. You had to go get the rugs from a distribution truck set up in a parking lot by the stadium. My son lived in one of the closest dorms to the stadium, so it was not bad. He and his roommate went together to get it, because as toneranger said, they were big.
Of course this was a few years ago, maybe it is better now...

When I visited one of the East dorms, some guy told me the desks were locked to the floor but not the bed. Do we cut the rug to make it fit? Also, do we have to pre-order it or something?

Don't know about East Hall desks - but desks in South Halls were not bolted to the floor. The rugs are thick -I wouldn't advise trying to cut them. Just order a smaller size if you need to.
And yes, you have to go to the stadium to pick up the rugs. It is a hassle - but less than driving hundreds of miles with the huge thing...

you will know where you are living and what size you will need by the time you order the rug.

if u got ur sheets elsewhere, what size did u get so they fit? and also, waht other stuff did u get to bring for your down... i am totally clueless in waht i need

Check out this link for ideas.
Get extra long twin sheets.
I remember that PSU gave a checklist - might be in your FTCAP packet or perhaps on the website.
Everyone brings different things. My son was loaded up with guitars and sports equipment - his rm had very little and was fine.

Plus the bookstore has lots of stuff (even the little one in East Halls) and McClanahans of course. There is a Target but it is a bus ride away.

the links on taht thread dont work,...got ne others?

Don't know why you couldn't do this, but all I did was I googled "what to bring to college" and here are some of the results:
