<p>Does the shipman weigh on male/female, instate/out of state, and race as well as merit? Like.. Would a 4.0, 33 ACT, female, out of state, minority have a better chance than a 4.0, 33 ACT male, instate, white guy?</p>
<p>I think so, Maxer. They look at the whole application just like everyone else, so my guess is that they award the scholarship on the complete package, including minority status, etc.</p>
<p>Male/female probably isn't that big a deal, as there are more women graduating from colleges these days than men.</p>
